Finlandia Hall, designed by Alvar Aalto, will get a new set of main hall doors when the original doors, upholstered with horsehair, are restored in our workshop.
We restore doors made of a range of materials, not only those made of wood. Our work often includes at least brass or copper, in addition to wood. One of the most particular pieces of work were the doors of Finlandia Hall, which were upholstered with a material made of horsehair.
We replaced the original doors with a temporary set for the duration of the restoration work. The materials and design of the replacement doors resembled the original doors in a humorous way.
As an expert in doors, we are able to meet your special needs and have metal components made to your specifications – even if they were unique. Thanks to our extensive cooperation network, we will be able to find seals and door closers that no longer exist or are not available any more.
